Loving Her

by | Jan 31, 2024

I love…
to love her even more,
especially on her ‘not so good’ days.

Because there will be days
where little things might annoy her,
Days where she may be sensitive
to everything you do or say,
Days where she will get too emotional,
for no such great reasons,

There will be some days
where you will see
she is being more clingy
Days where she will be easily upset
Days where she will be quieter than usual.

There will be times,
where she will feel overwhelmed
with everything going on around her,
and when mistakenly,
she will lash out at you,
Times when her heart will be heavy,
and her eyes will get easily full of tears,
Times where she is will overthink
and over-analyze everything,
which will cause her to be negative.

There will be times
where she will take things the wrong way
and feel attacked,
Times where she will seem distant,
and not have much to say.

There will be some moments
where her insecurities
will take charge of her.
Moments where she will feel lost,
like it is not going to get better.

And on those days….in those times…
especially for those kind of moments,
She is going to need you the most.

To be more patient with her,
To understand her silence,
To be more attentive to what
She says and to all that, she does not.
To not take it as if
She is trying to pick a fight with you.
To know and be aware
That she is not giving you an attitude,
Or not on purpose, being cold towards you.

It is just her… at her lowest point,
needing you to love her more,
even if she does not appear appealing to you.
Because it is only then,
That she will know and trust ,
The most heart-aching feeling,
Of finally understanding that
Everything will be okay,
with you being there,
with her… everywhere and always!

My stint at ‘Navigation Maps’

‘Never say never,’ my mother always used to tell me.  I was very poor in Geography as a student, especially maps. They would have anything placed anywhere in it and it would be a stress buster for my family to read my maps. They would have a hearty laugh interrogating...
