She loves colours.
I wish I could ask her
A few of these questions.
How would she paint the moment
When we were at a distance,
And how about now
when we are in each other’s presence?
How would she colour our souls?
Would it be like a reflection of each other
Or two parts made out of one whole?
What would be the shade that she would select,
To show how deeply we felt for each other?
Putting all that is between us into a visual representation,
Would that be easy for her?
What would she choose?
Red for the depth of our love,
Yellow for the immense happiness we share
and the laughter that never ends,
Black for the darkness of the fear
that resides in us both,
White for the purity of our friendship,
Pink for the elegance despite intensity in our relationship,
Blue for the sadness that ensues at times
when we miss each other,
Would she use them all in blends
or make some new colours?
Would She use the strokes of the brush on canvas?
Bring out the emotions, soft and gentle
and highlight the times when we made efforts
to take care of each other,
To stand strong by each other,
when we did not engage in futile comparison
of how much one has to give in,
but try to balance the other one instead,
who falls weak for the time being,
by prioritising our relationship over everything.
Will some controlled and some casual movements
of her brush, be able to portray it?
Would the artwork that she creates,
be washed away with the wave of time?
Or will it be sustained as a masterpiece
Etched permanently over our souls?
And will our connection get
stronger and more colourful,
deeper and more beautiful,
Every time we meet?
