The Interpretation of Love

by | Jan 29, 2024

To love…
Is not always writing sweet phrases,
or sending each other some flowers.
Giving gifts or sharing some little hearts,
does not always and only mean love.

To love…
Is to start each morning
With the thought of each other’s smile,
And to know that you have someone
to come back to
However the day might treat you.

To love…
Is to wait for the other to return
and to be tired together.
Even after the day has set
to still have the desire
to look into each other’s eyes
and see each other with a smile.

To love…
is to respect each other.
It is ending up with a hug
Be it a major disagreement,
Or is it just a petty argument
It is believing every time that
nothing can ever come between us.

To love
Is to withstand together,
the dry winds of distances
not allowing the sand
To hinder the vision
And never letting the separations of hearts happen.

To love…
Is to be together with comfortable silence
and no words… to speak.
To feel and understand more
Simply by reaching for that hand to hold.

To love…
Is to let the time impetuously pass by,
To accept the other as a whole
and to be that abundant constant
with the same love in several manifolds.

To love…
is to have the faith
that you will come through
be it any hurt or pain.
To chase and stay up for each other
even in fierce storms or torrential rain.

To love…
Is not being able to do without each other,
And never needing anyone else,
as a substitute to replace,
Even if it takes an entire lifetime.

To love…
is to feel every moment as if
It is all worth the wait!

My stint at ‘Navigation Maps’

‘Never say never,’ my mother always used to tell me.  I was very poor in Geography as a student, especially maps. They would have anything placed anywhere in it and it would be a stress buster for my family to read my maps. They would have a hearty laugh interrogating...
